Live Our Narrative exists to give people practical, honest answers without the fluff. This page explains how we decide what to publish, how we research it, how we handle mistakes, and where our money comes from — so you can judge our work for yourself.
What we cover
We publish in five areas: Travel Guides, Health, Fitness, Reading, and general living and money guides on our Blog. We write for people with real jobs and real schedules — not for the extreme-budget backpacker or the reader with unlimited time and money.
Who writes here
Articles are published under a named author, and every article ends with that author’s byline and background. You can see everything a given author has written from their archive page. If an article does not carry an author you can identify, that is a mistake — please report it.
How we research
- We prefer primary sources: official government and regulator guidance, airline and cruise line policy documents, published research, and company documentation.
- For health topics we look to peer-reviewed research and recognised health bodies rather than to other blogs.
- For prices, fees and policies we check the provider directly, and we note that these change over time.
- Where a claim is contested or the evidence is thin, we say so rather than pretending it is settled.
How we use AI
We use AI tools to help with research, structuring and first drafts. We do not publish unreviewed AI output. Every article is read, edited, fact-checked and approved by a human before it goes live, and we take full responsibility for everything published under our name — including any errors.
Accuracy and fact-checking
Before publishing, we check that factual claims trace back to a source we would be willing to show you, that figures and dates are current, and that any recommendation is one we would genuinely make to a friend. We are a small team, and we are not infallible — which is why the next section matters.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, we fix it. Our approach:
- Report it through our contact page and we will look into it.
- Substantive errors — anything that changes the meaning or could lead a reader to a bad decision — are corrected and noted at the foot of the article.
- Minor fixes like typos or broken links are corrected without a note.
- We do not quietly delete articles to make a mistake disappear.
Keeping articles current
Travel, money and health information ages quickly. We revisit and update our most-read guides as prices, policies and evidence change. Where an article has been meaningfully updated, the modified date reflects that.
Independence: advertising and affiliate links
We make money from third-party advertising and from affiliate links. Neither buys influence over what we write.
- Advertisers have no input into our articles and no advance sight of them.
- We do not accept payment for a positive review, a ranking position, or a mention.
- Affiliate commission never determines which product we recommend, and we regularly tell readers not to buy something.
- Advertising is visually distinct from editorial content.

Images and sources
We use licensed stock imagery, imagery we produce ourselves, and product images supplied by retailers. If you believe an image has been used on this site in error, contact us and we will remove it promptly.
